LUISS University Press (LUP) has just published an important book by Massimo Baldini, one of the most important Italian philosopher, died on December 10th 2008. The book, which focuses on the the so-called “objectivity” in the journalism, is prefaced by Dario Antiseri and represents a very impressive analysis about the Italian journalism.

Cinema in Italy. Report 2008
The Report 2008 about Cinema Industries and Markets, published by Ente dello Spettacolo, has been presented at LUISS University.
The event has been jointly promoted by Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo and by Centre for Media and Communication Studies “Massimo Baldini” of LUISS University.
CMCS has also presented the research design about “Open Cinema”; it will be developped by CMCS and Ente dello Spettacolo, under the direction of Emiliana De Blasio and Paolo Peverini.

Cinema industries in Italy
The latest yearly report about Italian market and cinema industries assets, promoted and published by Ente dello Spettacolo, will be presented at LUISS University on June 11th 2009.

University of Stirling wins Indian Media Award
Stirling wins Indian media award
The Department of Film, Media & Journalism at the University of Stirling has been awarded the 2009 Business Communication School of the Year (International) by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI).
The award was presented to Matthew Hibberd (pictured right), Senior Lecturer and deputy head of the Department, by B.S. Yeddyurappa, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, a region of India with a population of 53 million. There were 108 nominations for the awards.
The PRCI is the national body of Communication, Media, Advertising and PR professionals, with 18 chapters spread across India. The PRCI also has strategic international tie-ups with similar organisations in the world.
Their annual national ‘Chanakya Awards’ recognise the contribution made by people in Communication, Innovation, Media, Cinema, PR, Advertising, Rural leadership, Corporate leadership, Social leadership and there is also a PR Hall of Fame.
